Critical Thinking/Problem Solving/Decision Making

Employ critical thinking and evidence-based problem solving skills in making decisions.

The Master of Land Development program is constantly challenging students to truly think like a developer through its curriculum, whether it's performing due diligence on a project to test its feasibility, doing a market analysis of a sub-market for an income producing property, or to conduct a site analysis and develop a land plan based off our findings. All of these use critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to produce a project.

In my LDEV 688 Capstone Course, my group was given a property in Bryan, TX divided into two parcels (5.316 acres) and (.908 acres) to analyze the best opportunities for the site based of an initial site and market analysis. With the analysis, we used critical thinking and problem solving to determine the best development opportunity for the site.
