Throughout the Master of Land and Development Program I have gained practical knowledge about real estate development that I can apply in future projects I undertake in the professional world. The MLPD program has prepared me for real-world situations through its multidisciplinary curriculum, incorporating elements of rigorous training in due diligence, site analysis, entitlements, project management, and market and financial analysis. This allows MLPD graduates to fully understand each phase of the development process: pre-development, construction, and post-development operations/management.

In Residential Land Development (LDEV 668), our final project was to create a land book for a 29-acre property in Katy, Texas that included a market study, land plan, a due diligence report and analysis of competitors in the sub-market.
