Regulatory Process and Infrastructure Provision

Evaluate the elements of the regulatory process that impact the form, entitlement, and financial performance of property developments and investments, and alternative methods and techniques to provide cost-effective infrastructure provision.

Due Diligence is a crucial role during the feasibility period where it is the process of proving or disproving all the assumptions a developer makes about a property under contract. Environmental, Legal & Regulatory, Physical, and Locational/Situs issues are assessed throughout the due diligence period to determine if the project will be feasible to move forward.

In our LDEV 687 class, taught by Youngre Noh, my group was tasked with performing a due diligence analysis of a potential property in Tarpon Pointe, an investment opportunity in Bradenton, Florida. After a review the documents provided, my group came to the conclusion to terminate the contract and all plans moving forward.
